A recording of your voice is about as personal as it gets. Here's exactly what we do with it, in plain language.
It has to be your own voice
You record yourself, and you confirm the voice is yours before we build anything. Uploading another adult's voice, a celebrity, or anyone who hasn't agreed isn't allowed. For a child's gift from a grandparent or co-parent, the person whose voice it is does the recording.
We use it to make your books, and nothing else
Your voice sample builds the audiobooks you order. We don't sell it, we don't share it, we don't use it to advertise, and we don't use it to train anything beyond making your own books. [SCOPE TO FINALIZE IN POLICY]
You can delete it whenever you want

We're honest about what the narration is
The books are narrated by a voice built from your real recording. It carries your tone and cadence; it is not a word-for-word recording of you reading the whole book. We will never present it as something it isn't.
It's for grown-ups to set up
